Privacy notice

What this website collects, why, and what we do with it, in plain language. Effective October 8, 2026.

The short version

  • This website has no user accounts and asks you for nothing to read it.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not use advertising cookies.
  • If you contact us, we use what you send to reply and to do the work you asked about.

Information you give us

If you email us at connect@618Today.com, call (618) 339-4355, request a white paper, subscribe to The 618Today Brief, or use a form on this site, we receive what you choose to send: typically your name, organization, email address, phone number, and a description of your situation.

We use it to respond, to send what you requested, and to deliver any engagement that follows. Brief subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, using the link in every issue or by emailing us.

Website analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and learn which pages are useful. It records information such as the pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and advertising features, and we use the reports only in aggregate. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Hosting and server logs

Like almost every website, our web host keeps standard server logs, which record details such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs are used to operate and secure the site. Our hosting provider may also add a script to measure site performance.

Cookies

The website itself does not set cookies for tracking or advertising. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to tell visits apart; you can block or delete them in your browser settings without affecting how the site works.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site and our email, and only as needed for that purpose, or when the law requires it. If you ask about a service we deliver with a named partner, such as leader coaching with NorthBridge Leadership Partners, your inquiry is also sent to that partner, at their 618Today mailbox and at their own firm, so they can respond with us. We do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence and engagement records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our business, contract, and legal record-keeping obligations, and then delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing connect@618Today.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, and within any period the law requires.

Children, other websites, and changes

This site is intended for business and public-sector readers and is not directed at children under 13. Pages link to other organizations' websites, such as ICAHN; their own privacy practices apply once you leave this site. If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
